The iPhone was first introduced in the USA in the summer of 2007. With the iPhone, Apple Inc. has presented the world with an advanced version of the iPod. Problems with a locked phone

The products of Apple Inc. are popular worldwide and there are many that would gladly get themselves an iPhone to replace or complement their iPod. When the iPhone was launched in the summer of 2007 it was limited to the US market and could only be acquired through commitment to the phone company AT&T. The phone didn’t reach Europe until late fall the same year which meant that many users could only read about this new and exciting device. 

Although Americans could consider themselves lucky to be able to actually get the iPhone, they would have to agree to the terms of AT&T and sign up for at least 6 months and many times even more.
